Buyers love to hear when the home they’re about to purchase has copper piping. Copper is widely regarded as better than galvanized or PVC (plastic) piping.
Just keep in mind that not all copper pipes are alike. Thickness and grade are important. Thin copper pipes aren’t meant to have hot water constantly flowing through them.
A good home inspector will help you understand what kind of copper exists and its overall condition. Better yet, have a plumber take a look. Like many other home systems, there is much more than meets the eye!
It’s true, not all copper pipes are alike!
